You may have been wondering why lagserv.net has been down, i was too. When i first realized it was down, i got karn to restart it, thinking something had just gone weird and would be sorted out after a restart. When that didn't work i decided I would go in on that friday to see what was up. That was last week. That friday I ended up not going in, but instead karn brought the server to me. I hooked it up booted it up and it started properly. So i confusedly scratched my head, upgraded the ram to 1GB and put it by the door to go back on monday. Monday came, the server went back on it's self, started up properly and everything worked great. Then tuesday came. On Tuesday i noticed that again lagserv.net wouldn't load, so i once again got my dad to restart it. That didn't fix it. Since it seemed to work after being powered off for a while last time, I got him to disconnect the power for a day. Now it's Wednesday, the server is powered back on and it still doesn't work. I waited until thursday before getting my dad to once again bring it to me. When i got home i tried to boot it again, it wouldn't detect the hard drive. Since the motherboard was known to have these sorts of issues, i decided to forget about using it and switch to one of the 2.4Ghz p4's we have sitting around here. After swapping out the motherboard and powering it back up i get the same message about not being able to detect a boot device.
Now for today: After school I took the server back and got myself an old 80GB hard drive that wasn't being used (a fair upgrade over the 40 we had before). I did the install to the hard drive and set up my SSH server so I could log in remotely from home. Now after fighting with it from home I finally got to a point where it once again has Cheesyforum up and running. I manage to save all but one of the posts (or at least it seems) from the old hard drive, so thats good. I still have a few more hours of work to do setting up all the other servers I use which i'll do on Sunday since the COD4 is copying over and will take 20 hours. Hopefully it will be stable once again.

Got the mail servers up and running again.
I remember when it seemed like it was impossible to do and i'd spend all night getting it up and running.
